Message from the Director…

Our Institute was established in 1995 as an independent academic organization with the mission to become a forum where academics and researchers from all over the world could meet in Athens and exchange ideas on their research and discuss the future developments of their discipline.

International conferences, study tours, publications and research are the basic activities of ATINER. Since 1995, ATINER has organized more than 100 international conferences and has published over 80 books. Academically, the Institute is organized into four research divisions and nineteen research units. Each research unit organizes at least an annual conference and undertakes various small and large research projects.

ATINER’s decision to offer graduate programs is based on its success in attracting excellent professors, researchers and other academics from all over the world. We start the academic year (2009-2010) with a graduate program in Business and Economics. This program is designed only for excellent students, particularly those that want to continue their studies for a Ph.D. to top Universities in USA and U.K. To encourage this, our Institute offers scholarships to two of our graduates of the Master Program to continue for Ph.D. We also offer research assistantships to all admitted students.

This is a great opportunity to study in a multicultural and historical environment in a dynamic and modern city. Modern Athens is a city full of history, culture and social life.
