Graduate Studies in Athens The Athens Institute for Education and Research offers a unique postgraduate program for excellent students in a city full of history, culture and recreational facilities at the crossroads of three continents. Athens has been the cultural city of Europe in 1985 and has organized two Olympic Games, the first Olympic Games of the Modern Era in 1896 and the first of the 21^st Century in 2004. The post Olympic Athens is a new city that blends harmoniously modern amenities with a perfect preservation of the remnants of the golden age of classical antiquity. The new Athens is a commercial, educational and multicultural centre with one-fifth of its population being foreign born. The Institute has developed a reputation of organizing high quality academic conferences, publishing many books and undertaking a considerable number of research projects. The Institute is organized into four research divisions and nineteen research units. The academic members of the Institute are active professors and researchers in well known universities all over the globe: USA, U.K., Greece, Turkey, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. Built on this reputation and the experience of its academic members, the Institute introduces a new postgraduate program for high class students in the area of business and economics. All accepted students are offered research scholarships that cover at least the registration fees. In addition, two scholarships of €5000 each are offered to top graduates of the Master programme to continue their studies for a Ph.D. to high class Universities. This scholarship is open to all students of the Institute but it can be used for Ph.D. studies in Universities approved by ATINER.
